Dumped & Rescued Roosters
They didn’t end up here because they were bad roosters. They ended up here because someone cowardly walked away.
The birds on this page were found abandoned, dumped, or left to fend for themselves until someone cared enough to stop, catch them, and bring them to safety. Every listing here represents a second chance, made possible by both the person who refused to leave him behind, and the person willing to give him a home.

I was called 2 days ago to rescue this little guy that had been dumped. I have him in an isolation area. My 3 hens are quite old and won’t be able to handle his shenanigans as a young rooster. I apologize for not knowing too much about him as he has only been here 2 days. I would love to find him a great home. It took me 6 hours to catch him and he was pretty scared. He deserves a chance at a great home.

The Registry wants to help you find him the home he deserves. If you’ve rescued a dumped or abandoned rooster, choose the “Rescued from a Dumping/Abandonment Situation” option in the listing form (under “Reason for Rehoming”) so he can be highlighted here as well as in the regular listings for people looking to give a rescued rooster a second chance.
