Let the Registry do the looking for you with bachelor alerts.

Your perfect match may not be available on the day you start looking, but that’s no reason to give up! Tell the Registry which breed(s) you’re looking for, as well as the area(s) you’re willing to travel to to bring your boy home, and it will email you the moment a potential match joins the Registry. No need to keep checking back (unless you want to)!

When you sign up, you’ll receive an email each time an eligible bachelor is listed that matches at least one of your chosen breeds AND at least one of your chosen locations. For example: if you’re looking for a Barred Rock rooster in either Annapolis, Kings, or Hants County, Nova Scotia, you’ll only be notified if a rooster tagged as a Barred Rock is listed in one of those counties. A Barred Rock listed in Lunenburg County (or anywhere else you haven’t specified) won’t trigger an email.

Also, just in case you missed one while scanning the listings, if there are already matches waiting on the Registry when you sign up, we’ll let you know about those right away too.

One more thing to know: owners can tag their listing with up to two breeds (for boys who aren’t purebred, or when the owner isn’t fully sure). If either of those breeds matches one you’ve chosen, you’ll get an email – so a match doesn’t always mean the boy is fully purebred, just that at least one of his tagged breeds lines up with what you’re looking for. If knowing the exact breed mix matters to you, it’s worth double-checking the listing details before reaching out.
