Our Story
I built The Rooster Registry because I couldn’t personally take in every rooster that needed a home. Trust me, I’d love to. I’ve got eleven coops of my own and a soft spot for roosters that borders on unreasonable, but even I have limits. So instead, I built a place where they could actually be seen, roosters of every temperament, from the ones who follow you around for cuddles to the ones who are still figuring out their manners.
Rehoming roosters through Facebook groups is chaos: posts disappear, birds get buried in comments, and half the group is speaking in code just to avoid getting the post taken down because rehoming animals isn’t allowed on Facebook. The Rooster Registry gives them a dedicated, reviewed space instead of getting lost in a feed. The idea came to me on a Wednesday morning, and by the following Monday it was live. That’s usually how things happen around here.
